Assignment:
Create 4 gesture sketches of our life drawing model demonstrating a fluid process and preliminary understanding of figure construction and pose.
1.Coat your paper with the charcoal powder to “tone” the surface.
2. Using the Paper Mate Penraser, create a “bubble” and within this space begin to sketch the figure and important figural angles, guidelines/plumblines and center line.
3. Once you have established key points, begin to fill in structural lines with vine charcoal, followed by charcoal pencil.
4. Subtract value with the chamois to indicate volume and space.
Student Learning Objectives:

2. Demonstrate a working method that progresses from “general” to “specific” including key lines and angles.
